About Your First Visit

The first visit that you have with Dr. Mendoza will last approximately 90 minutes.  During this time she will get to know you and listen to the concerns you have about your health.  She will gather a comprehensive picture of your current health and the problems that you have.  It is requested that you bring in laboratory work that is not older than 6 months, bring all of your supplements that you are taking, and all of your medications that you are currently on.  It is also very useful at this time to bring in a comprehensive diet diary for the week previous to your scheduled visit.

At the end of the visit, Dr. Mendoza will perform a physical examination.  Dr. Mendoza will review the labs that you brought with you and discuss the therapies that she feels are the best for you, such as any laboratory studies that need to be completed before your second visit.  If she feels at that time it is important to know your toxic level, food allergies or mold etc., she will recommend them at that time.

The second visit will entail you and Dr. Mendoza discussing the laboratory studies that were done since the first visit and the ultimate plan of action will be discussed at that time.

Any and all follow-up visits are important.  All efforts will be made to ensure the treatment plan itself is working and you are feeling better with each passing day.  The progress must be evaluated and perhaps some changes need to be done so that positive forward motion is constant and consistent.

Dr. Mendoza does not like to give many supplements, but sometimes there is a need for a few to effect the change that is desired.  Most of the follow up visits are 30 minutes.  They are scheduled 2 weeks out from the initial visit.  After the first initial follow-up visit, we will schedule you every 4 weeks during the early stages of the treatment plan and during these visits we will decide if any changes need to be made.  As you progress through the treatment plan, you will have noted improvement and thus the follow ups will become less frequent.
